I can't write.
Do what you do best.
What do I do?
Well… what can't you do?
I can't write from a plan. I can't sit here and think, oh, I'll write about that. I can't draw inspiration from looking around me.
Ok... so… what does that leave?
You. And me.
So write about that.
No. Because that's stupid. And boring. No one wants to read that.
Then write about something else.
Yes but what?
Don't try to find something that will impress people. Look inside the brown and textured, inky, saturated domain. This leaf covered floor of the cavern that is your laboratory. What do you feel?
It's warm, and quiet. But if I walk and can hear the leav
I feel like a child, trying to grasp the string of a kite,
Standing on tiptoe, as it lingers in flight.
Wishing with all my heart it'll stay,
All I have to do is reach… a little… further.
But the ledge is unstable, and the rubble slips away,
And clumsily falling, after a heart stopping sway,
Despite the fact I know I will fall,
I'll still make one last clutch.
I'll drag the kite down with me, but at least I won't lose it.
And yet, my hands are empty.
The back of my eyes prickle,
I lose control of my jaw,
I screw my eyes up against the blush,
But open them to see the shrinking dot of the kite.
Lying crumpled on the floor, bruised
Verse 1.
You're lying here,
In a daze.
Your eyes close and they flicker,
Amid the haze.
How did it get to this?
Even with all the hits you took,
You never thought for a minute
You would suffer.
But it's not too late.
It's never too late.
Chorus.
And when you're awake,
And it's late at night,
I will be there no matter how distant I am.
And when you cry out,
I will dull your pain,
I will take away all of the hurt that's inside.
I will be,
Your symphony,
Your angel.
I will be the rain that falls outside.
Verse 2.
The moon is full,
And it shines.
Your eyes close and they flicker,
Amid the haze.
Oh, but my hand stills yo
Wake up.
I know I left you, but I'm here now.
Please, listen to me.
Why won't you wake up!?
Tears trickle slowly down my cheeks,
I feel as if I've been crying for weeks,
Mourning this argument, mourning the knife,
Mourning the weapon that took your life.
You lie still and cold on the floor,
I know you won't hear me anymore,
But still I'll talk about what I said,
Although there's no point, my darling's dead…
You step up to the edge,
The wind streams through your hair,
Your feet are on the ledge,
The sea looks vast and bare.
You slowly flex your fingers,
Know they're unable to hold,
The happiness that lingers,
Speaking of joy untold.
People will look for you,
But that you'll never know,
You know what you want to do,
But you feel so lost, and low.
The wind is now strong,
As you look up to the sky,
You'll not be here for long,
As you stand there and cry.
Tiny stones fall to the sea,
Swallowed up by raging waters,
You think, 'that'll be me'
The frothy waves will be your slaughterers.
The moon is rising,
The water is black and c
"See ya later then!"
"Yeah, ok, bye!"
I waved to Sarah and pressed the button for the pelican crossing. It was a cross roads, so once I had crossed this side, and walked past the shops, I would have to cross another road. No sense crossing further up, oh no, I valued my life.
The rain was fine yet cold, and within minutes I was damp and chilly. My bags were heavy. Everything was slightly blurred and dull, voices echoing, yells, muffled horns in the distance.
The lights turned red and I dashed across the road. Even before I'd set my foot on the other side it had turned green again, and the cars were rushing past. I shook my head in disma
"Stop!" I yelled, and the other me turned to face me, halfway across the road. Bewilderment and shock filled her face.
And then the car hit.

Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
The first thing that told me I was awake was a strange humming noise that greeted my ears. It was relaxing, soothing, and I felt myself drifting back to sleep.
'No!' I thought. I couldn't go back to sleep. I needed some answers.
I was lying on a springy, cool surface, like a bed, but slightly harder. The air smelled sweet, but it was subtle and hardly noticeable, hardly intoxicating.
I opened my eyes and quickly shut them. I was lying on my back, staring straight at

They led me past the stream and onto a quaint dirt track. We passed many fields and eventually came to the mouth of the sea.
"The Mistakens' sector is very similar to the islands found on Earth, across the sea there is the island for people from the Uligan realms, and on that island, the people from Dakarto arrive."
Frank yawned, "Do we have to have a geography lesson?"
Fredrick sighed, "I pity you your ignorance Frank…"
I looked at the scenery mostly, too tired to listen to their bickering.
Soon we were walking along the sun-kissed beach, with pale sand that felt like silk underneath my feet.
"Hail Freddie and Frankie!" came a voice.

Birdsong.
I opened my eyes to the sweet smell of the sea air, and a warm breeze on my skin. I arched my back and stretched, feeling wonderfully rested. That was the one good thing about being in heaven, at least in this part of it, you never got stiff from sleeping funny.
I still wanted to go home though, let's not forget that.
I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and stood up, brushing the sand from my clothes. I squirmed about, feeling uncomfortable, and lifted the tunic up a bit, whereupon three handfuls of sand immediately sifted out. I patted any remnants of sand away.
"Fred?" I called, noticing the charred remains of a camp fire in fro

Chapter 4 - Merry Stardancer
We meandered out of the cave and down to the beach, walking along the shoreline for about a mile before we came to a peaceful little harbour, with seagulls calling to each other and circling the shoreline as the waves crashed upon the shore and receded again.
I fingered the talisman around my neck, for comfort or what I don't know. It felt nice to hold, but I couldn't get over that piece of void, it was just…scary. Fred had warned me not to put my hand in it, or just the hand may have been transported somewhere else.
The boat bobbed up and down in the water, a steady sloshing noise as the water slapped against the harbour wall.
The sun wa
I felt the light filter through the porthole window in my cabin. I smiled and snuggled back down under the covers, feeling warm and relaxed. I hadn't yet opened my eyes.
The smell of frying bacon brought me to my senses. I opened my eyes and sniffed the air eagerly. Boy was I hungry!
"Saffron?" came Fredrick's voice.
"Just a minute!" I yelled back, discarding the nightie and pulling on the tunic and trousers. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and made the bed again, folding the cosy blankets up, ready for that night.
Slipping on my sandals, I ventured out of my room and onto the deck. I was pleased to find my sandals were no worse for wea

Chapter 6 - The angel Imogen
"Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllpppppp!" I screeched.
I was cut short as acidic water filled my mouth. It stung, it hurt, I could feel it eating away at my clothes and skin. I writhed and twisted in the hungry waters, thrashing about wildly.
"Stay still," came a quiet, calm voice.
I stopped struggling with difficulty and felt myself lurch upwards as gravity went back to normal.
I felt the acid stop hurting.
"Open your eyes," came the voice.
I opened my eyes and saw the bottom/top of the lake. I could make out a crumbling ship and a blue figure as it soared upwards towards us. I felt like screaming. It was Mathias, and the others couldn't be

Chapter 7 - Starlybow
We trudged on through the raw landscape, like a wound on the perfect skin of heaven. It was cold and the wind tugged mercilessly at our clothes and hair, blowing so hard it made our eyes water.
I sighted the first glimpse of clouds in the sky. It seemed I wasn't the only one.
"Look," said Imogen, "There's the cloud platform,"
I looked up and saw some concrete steps leading up onto a fluffy road. It would have been beautiful if it wasn't for the dark masses of mist and the sulphurous hue of the clouds.
I shuddered,
"Now or never I suppose," I told myself, stepping onto the steps.
I yelped in surprise when I stepped onto the clouds. It wa
Stinging tears,
Streaming from black-rimmed eyes,
A black smudged pattern imprinted on skin,
The full-length mirror shimmers,
Wouldn’t let me in,
The fantasy land within,
Beckons,
Inviting,
Persuading,
Taking me in side the wonderland,
Looking back on the harsh cruel world,
Full of selfish,
Hateful creatures,
I once belonged,
Now torn and tattered,
Awaiting the well-deserved happiness,
Long overdue,
My mind worn and tired from endless
Imaginary
Battles,
No way out of the wilderness,
But the secret door found,
The sun here so bright,
Behind the mirror,
Blinded,
Cured,
Alive and well R

I think this is in serious need of an update XD. Well, I recently posted my GCSE art work thingy (the fairy tale book). Other than that, um, life's ok... Leeds fest soon, exams are over, w00t!
Short and sweet... hope you don't all get rained on. I hate British weather sometimes.
Fooking raaaave mate!
*collapses into chair* Just had the best new year ever ^_^. I've recently dyed my hair a luscious purple colour, and so I was all punked up in black and fishnetty stuff for new years party. I just wore a plain vest thing, black trousers tucked into muh biker boots, and clipped my smexy torch onto my belt. Lots of bangles, fishnet gloves. We got to G's and there were already a lot of people there.
I'd burnt a drum and bass kinda CD before i went, and so we converted the living room into a rave room. We had music blasting out, lights off, and i was using my torch as a glow stick so it was flashy. About seven of us just j
Hopefully I'll be selling them as t-shirts. I just don't know how I can submit the designs to a maufacturor or anything. And plus I'd need to get copyrights or patents or something. I'm going to make them for myself and mates nd stuff and maybe get them to buy their own t-shirts for it, but other than that, I don't know how to go about making them publicly available. Maybe it's an issue we should put forward to DA. I mean, they make a few t-shirts atm, but why not let members of DA submit their designs to be made into t-shirts?
Oooh maybe if we got a petition going... we could get DA to do that!!!
